Day 2

DIET

Diet Day 2

Well today I went WAY over the amount of calories I was supposed to eat. Everything should fall into a better place once I get to school so I can better measure the food I eat instead of Chinese food. The calories is probably a lot less. I had seaweed, some meat, tofu, and two shrimps. This is way healthier than my listed "King Pao Chicken." A better estimate would be around 2,500 calories. Things I can improve on by looking back at this meal is to eat more frequently with smaller meals to curb my hunger. I did not do that well today.

Go with 1/2 cup of oatmeal for breakfast. Also swear off the nuts. Those will get you. With that I would be well in a good zone.

Also one can of tuna + 1 cup of cottage cheese = HEAVEN. This is possibly one of the most delicious meals I've had. I'm a huge fish fan and the mixture works really well. It also low calories + highly filling + high protein + low carbs + low fat = nutritious meal.

EXERCISES

I waited a bit too long after breakfast to exercise. After I ran 2 miles and did 100 jump ropes my stomach was yelling at me for some food.

I followed my Wednesday chest routine [will discuss this in a later post]. Since my wrist is still injured [check injury category]. I decided to go extra light to rehabilitate so I don't screw up my wrist even more. I just did everything with the bar, no added weights, lots of reps.

I also couldn't do barbell curls because the way it curled hurt my wrist too much. I stuck with the elastic bands.

In summary:

  • Earlier in the day I ran: 2 miles, 1000 jump ropes
  • Later in the day: 100 jump rope, 100/75/75/75 reps of bar bench, 4 super sets of dumbbell flyes and dumbbell bench [10 reps each/20 pounds], 2 sets of alternating elastic band curls with 25 reps each arm, 2 sets of elastic band curls with 50 reps together

It wasn't that great of a workout but it kept my hand from hurting so in the long run I should be able to heal faster and lift sooner.

EXTRA ACTIVITIES

Nothing strenuous today.

Some define themselves by their education or career. Others define themselves by their salaries and material acquisitions. But whether it is the subtle application of oil to canvas, or the straining and heaving of hard iron, I choose to define myself by my passions.

No magic to success. Work harder than anyone else, and good stuff happens. I might not be the smartest, biggest, or most talented, but I will outwork every day of the week!
