Extra Boosters
I'm excited, my shipment of protein and creatine came in the mail today [Interesting... WordPress or Firefox does not recognize creatine as a real word]. Bought them from Vitacost. I choose them for the price and low shipping.
I received a huge box filled with air bags and my two enormous jugs of supplements. The protein I chose cost $40. It was rated as number one selling protein of 2007 on many websites and is recommended by many bodybuilders. Not only are its ingredients "superior" it more importantly has a "superior" taste. The product is called "Optimum Nutrition 100% Gold Standard Instantized Whey Protein Double Rich Chocolate."
The information listed is as follows...

I've had protein before, and I am very excited to try out this one after reading the reviews. The second container is "ProLab Creatine Monohydrate -- 1000 Grams." It cost $22 dollars. I have never in my life tried creatine before. I did a lot of research, and the Monohydrate type of creatine that has most research done with it. The only real side effects are bloating. I thought I should start with the most basic because I have never been on creatine before.
I haven't decided when I will start my creatine, I am thinking February 1st. The ingredients are listed as...
Pure Creatine Monohydrate
Maximum Muscular Development Creatine is a natural compound found in our bodies that plays a powerful role in energy metabolism. Oral supplementation with Prolab's Creatine Monohydrate can help maximize energy output during intense training to help you reach the next level. This amazing nutrient maximizes strength, performance and muscular development.

Those are the current supplements are my disposal. I will start using the 100% Whey Protein once I get to school and start using the Creatine Monohydrate on the start of February.
There are also supplements that are recommended for everyone, no matter if you are lifting are not. The reason for fish oil is that it gives me essential fatty acids that are important in health. They contain omega 3s and 6s that are good fats for your body.
A multi-vitamin is also highly recommended. It is sometimes hard to get all your vitamins and minerals for the day. Taking a multi-vitamin helps alot.

yo slick,
I highly recommend avoiding taking any omega 6′s the whole problem is that our grain based diet give us extremely high levels of omega 6 and way too little omega 3′s. the ratio should be about 1 to 1 average american has levels that are about 22 to 1 omega 6 to three. ………yikes!!! did you know that milk and beef used to have plenty of omega 3′s?? lots of stuff did but that was when everything was raised naturally. cows that eat ONLY grass throughout their entire lifetime (including in the “finishing” stage where they are usually fed grain) have plenty of omega 3′s. so even if you dont eat grains directly, you are still eating omega 6′s unless you are very careful. omega 3′s are amazing. check out the a book – I think its called the omega 3 connection or something like that. I forgot! sorry : ) written by dr.s from harvard medical school. they have patients stop their meds for depression related illness (slowly and carefully) and treat ONLY with massive doses of omega 3′s (higher EPA than DHA). if I were you, I would just TRY for a month taking a shitload of fish oil liquid form. I use carlsons or nordic naturals – both are very high quality and low mercury. many brands test high for mercury because they are not filtered well. I like the orange flavored the best. decent taste. also, for the record. I just took green magnitude for the first time last night and it gave me a great workout but my stomach didnt like it so much. not horrific but definitely some rough gas and maybe more if I had taken more than a half (due to the magnesium I think). anyway, just wanted to tell you that. how did you like the creatine monohydrate?

Hey thanks for the tips. I’ve been taking huge doses of fish oil, about 6 pills a day lately. I agree that omega 3s are very important.
I moved on towards a designer creatine but creatine monohydrate gave me some pretty awesome gains. It is really the only provein suppleent.
