Converting Lifting Belt to Dip Belt
I recently bought a lifting belt. The reason I bought it was to support my back when I get stronger but more importantly I wanted to do weighted pullups and dips. I asked around and had people give me ideas on how to convert a lifting belt to a dip belt. Here is my version, not as secure as the other ideas but I did it with stuff found around the house. I also feel this is easier on the lifting belt than using chains.
Here is what I did.
First I put the belt on the outer most notch so it is “loose” and not tight around my waist.
Then I found one of my old “flat string” belts. What is great about these belts is that the more pressure on the belt, the tighter it is. I looped it around my lifting belt and the weight.
Here are three angles, of how the belt is connected. It is really simple and adds no extra weight/pressure from the chain.
