Woah. Very busy day with little time at home. Was able to pull a quick 30 minute nap before class. This helped me stay awake during CPA review. Our new instructor is very interesting and makes the class pass quickly.

UNICEF is in full swing and corporate tax is still kicking my butt.

INTERESTING CPA TIDBITS OF THE DAY

Getting absolutely hammered in the corporate tax problems. I need to be really familiar with AMT, PHC, and AEP penalties.

Today, I learned about a municipal arbitrage bond through the questions. The interest from these bonds are include in gross income. The "bonds" are actually a hedge position that holds a long position in tax-exempt muni bonds and a short position in corporate bonds. Pretty interesting stuff.
