New Zealand Clams Recipe
If you are a fan of seafood, this is a recipe for you. I love shellfish and this is a great recipe! It is a little more difficult the the ordinary recipe but is well worth the trouble. Here is what we are making:
INGREDIENTS
STEPS
- Fill your sink with water.
- Soak the clams in there for a few minutes.
- Clean them off.
- Put them in a bowl.
- Turn on your stove.
- Pour 2 tbsps of corn oil into your skillet.
- Chop your silver dollar size chunk of ginger into a few potato chip slices.
- Throw your clams into the skillet.
- Put a covering over it.
- Stir fry this around for a bit every few minutes, right before all the clams are fully cooked and opened start adding the rest of the ingredients.
- Add 1 tbsp of soy sauce.
- Add 1 tbsp of cooking wine.
- Add 1 tsp of sugar.
- Stir fry this around a bit more in different intervals, you can leave the lid on most of the time.
- Once all the clams open up, you are about done.
- Enjoy!
Beef in Oyster Sauce Recipe
This dish is a little more difficult the the previous ones. It is really delicious and is worth the trouble. There is some preparation time though. I will now show you how to make this.
INGREDIENTS
- Beef [Cut into strips]
- Half Dollar Chunk of Ginger
- Oyster Sauce
- 1 Head of Scallion
- Black Pepper
- Corn Oil
- Cooking Wine
- Salt
- Corn Starch
- Baking Soda
- Sugar
PREPARATION
- Cut your beef into strips.
- Now it is time to marinade your beef strips for at least 30 minutes.
- Add 1 tsp of cooking wine.
- Add 1 tsp of salt.
- Add 1 tbsp of corn starch.
- Add 1/2 tsp of baking soda.
- Add 1/4 tsp of sugar.
- Mix this together.
STEPS
- Cut the half dollar size chunk of ginger into fairly large strips.
- Turn on your stove, and throw these onto your skillet.
- Pour 2 tablespoons of corn oil into the skillet.
- Let this heat for 20 seconds.
- Throw the meat in.
- Stir fry the meat.
- When it is starting to get done, throw in 1-2 tablespoons of oyster sauce [A good indication is that the beef will be shiny]
- Cut up your scallion into little pieces.
- Throw this into the skillet with the beef.
- Now add the put a few dashes of black pepper into your dish.
- Mix these up.
- Enjoy!
Cucumber in Spicy Sauce Recipe
This is a cold dish, it is absolutely incredible. I could eat this all day! I will now show you how to make:
It is a very fast and easy dish, it takes no time and is 100% guaranteed awesomeness.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 Seedless Cucumbers
- Salt
- Sugar
- Corn Oil [Can use olive oil]
- 1 Clove of Garlic
- Ground Fresh Chili Paste
STEPS
- Wash the seedless cucumbers.
- Cut the cucumber in half.
- Cut each half into quarters.
- Cut each quarter into strips.
- Throw all this into a bowl.
- Throw a tablespoon of salt onto the cucumbers.
- Give the cucumbers a good shake and mix them up.
- Let this sit for 10-20 minutes.
- Now rinse the cucumbers to get rid of the salt on top [A little bit of salt should have absorbed into the cucumbers].
- Be sure to get all the water out.
- Dice your clove of garlic.
- Throw the diced garlic on top of the cucumbers.
- Throw in 1 TSP of sugar.
- Throw in 1 TBSP of chili paste, more if you want it spicier.
- Don't mix anything together yet.
- Heat your skillet.
- Pour 2 tablespoons of olive oil or corn oil into the skillet.
- Let this heat up for a minute or so.
- Pour this directly on top of your cucumber dish.
- Now mix all ingredients together.
- Thats it, no need to cook the cucumbers or anything.
- Enjoy!
Chinese Spinach Recipe
This one is phenomenal. I've always liked this as a kid and this is why I love spinach now. I've never had a problem with vegetables growing up with this style of cooking. I will show everyone how to make this:

INGREDIENTS
- Chinese Spinach [Variety of spinach where you can see a pink stub at the base]
- Olive Oil
- Clove of Garlic
- 1 TSP of Salt
STEPS
- Clean the Chinese spinach really well.
- Empty your sink a few times to ensure optimal cleaning.
- Throw the spinach into a drainer.
- Boil a pot of water.
- When the pot boils, throw the spinach inside.
- Wait for the pot to boil again, take the spinach out immediately.
- Drain the spinach.
- Heat a skillet.
- Throw in a clove of diced garlic.
- Throw in 2 tbsps of olive oil.
- Let this simmer for a while, so the flavor can come out.
- Throw the spinach into the skillet.
- Stir fry this around a bit.
- Add 1 tsp of salt [Add less at first, than taste test it to see if you need more]
- Take it out and enjoy!
Chinese Green Bean Dish
This is a very simple and delicious dish. It requires a special Chinese green bean that you can find at oriental stores. It is out of the ordinary and adds wonders to your diet.
INGREDIENTS
- 1.5-2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
- Chinese Green Beans [You can identify these as foot long green beans]
- 1-1.5 Teaspoons of Salt
STEPS
- Wash the green beans very well. Fill a sink with water and empty it a few times while washing the green beans.
- Once clean, take a handful of green beans and break them into quarters.
- Put these in a drainer so no water is left.
- Heat your skillet on medium.
- Pour 1.5-2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil into your skillet. [The amount does not really matter]
- Put the green beans into the skillet.
- Put a lid over them.
- Let this sit for 5-10 minutes until thoroughly cooked. [Take a bite out of one to see if it needs more time]
- Turn off the skillet.
- Throw a little bit of salt (1-1.5 TSPs) onto the green beans. [Taste test it to determine if you need less or more salt]
- Mix the green beans.
- Enjoy!
